Iresh Pamatong – Accounts Payable VA, Telemarketer
I am Iresh Pamatong, I am currently engaged and my partner is an overseas worker. I am 36 years old and a graduate of Associate in Information Technology. My first job was as a branch cashier in a consignment company for more than 3 years. I left my job as a branch cashier because I had this dream to work in the BPO industry. I’m so blessed because I was hired in my first attempt to apply to a BPO company named VXI Global Holding Sdn.
When I applied to VXI Global Holding Sdn, I did not expect that the account that they assigned to me would be very complicated. Someone called it a toxic account due to a lot of issues from our customers that we need to cover such as billing and dispute issues, technical, and upselling services with AT&T.
During our 3 months of training, I was overwhelmed with too much information and the tools that I needed to familiarise myself with the process. I was about to give up because I thought that I couldn’t make it or I could not pass the training. However, due to the need for money, I’ve chosen to stay and luckily I was able to pass the training and was endorsed to production. It was challenging on my first month taking calls considering that it was my first in the BPO industry. I was very thankful for the support that I got from the team, especially from our team leader who encouraged me to always learn from my mistakes and stay calm even if customers were shouting over the phone. Who thought that I’d stayed in that company for more than 4 years? I’m so grateful that I was given a chance to be part of that company because that experience honed my ability to provide the best customer service and handle objections. empathy and techniques on how to sell products.
When the pandemic occurred way back in the year 2020, I considered the health issue of my mother. That’s where I started my journey as a freelancer as a VA/ cold caller/ telemarketer with various accounts such as Real Estate campaigns, e-commerce, solar campaigns, home and auto insurance, and VA for a logistics company. I consistently exceeded sales targets by employing effective cold-calling techniques and building rapport with potential clients. I am skilled in identifying prospects, understanding their needs, and articulating the value proposition of products or services to drive conversions
