Aiza Arroyo – Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeper

aiza-arroyo-vaHi, I am Aiza Arroyo, you can call me Aiz. I am single and a middle child in a family of four siblings. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration majoring in Management Accounting at the Navotas Polytechnic College, Philippines. I was raised and grew up in the province and moved to the city to pursue my college education.

I come from a close-knit family, although my parents separated when I was a kid. I grew up with my grandparents, who played a significant role in shaping my values and outlook in life. They instilled in me the importance of hard work, determination, and treating others fairly—lessons that I carry with me today. In my free time, I enjoy gardening because I love orchids.

Looking ahead, I hope to build a successful career and business that allows me to support my family, contribute to my community, and support those in need. I have a strong desire to help others, particularly through outreach programs for indigenous people.

After completing my studies in Business Administration in Manila, I started out working in a cooperative in an entry-level position dealing with cooperative members’ queries regarding accounts and loan balances, doing bank errands, filing, and paperwork. After five years, through hard work and dedication, I was promoted to the Financial Controller of the cooperative and later on became the General Manager.

aiza-arroyo-vaOne of the aspects I enjoy most about working in a cooperative is the opportunity to engage in charitable initiatives and outreach programs for Indigenous communities. Working in a cooperative built my experience in administrative tasks, bookkeeping, payroll and accounting, financial preparation and reporting, auditing, scheduling, and team building.

During the pandemic, I was given the chance to work from home for two years, and I truly enjoyed the benefits it offered, such as flexibility and a better work-life balance. Since then, I have been able to build a small rice trading business for additional income, allowing me to explore my entrepreneurial skills. That’s why this positive experience led me to embrace remote work as a long-term option.

Today, I am excited to explore new opportunities as a Virtual Assistant. I believe that my background and experience in administrative support and finance position me uniquely to contribute effectively in a remote work setting. I am also passionate about helping small businesses thrive through efficiency and organisation. What drives me in this belief is that every task, no matter how small, plays a crucial role in achieving larger goals. I am eager to continue learning and growing.
