Christine Jade Ticong – General Virtual Assistant

christine-ticong-vaI graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. So why didn’t I pursue teaching? As an only child, I carry the responsibility of helping my family financially. To support them, I aimed for higher-paying work-from-home opportunities rather than seeking local on-site jobs in the Philippines. That’s why, at a young age, I researched freelancing and applied for remote jobs after I graduated.

I love doing things my own way. I enjoy learning and tackling new challenges because I believe they help me grow, both personally and in my career. I’m also a bit of a workaholic. Outside of work, I love walking, running, and spending time in nature. I also enjoy singing and dancing on TikTok with my friends, watching movies, and eating good food. Music is a big part of my life—especially K-pop and P-pop, with Blackpink and Bini being my favorites. Whenever I feel stressed, doing the things I love helps me feel better.

My first work experience was with IQOR, an on-site BPO company in Davao, Philippines. I was so happy and grateful they hired me, even though I had no prior experience. They trained me as a Sales Representative for two months. Although I loved the job, I had to leave to focus on my studies, as my parents wished.

After graduating, I immediately applied for jobs, and I was lucky enough to be hired as a Chat Support Agent by an international client through OnlineJobs.ph. During my six months there, I helped increase sales for the company.

New opportunities kept coming, and I became a Cold Caller, Appointment Setter, and Telemarketer for various companies over the span of five months. I’m grateful to these companies for giving a newbie like me a chance. In the sales industry, campaigns often last 1–3 months or are seasonal, but during my time with them, I contributed by generating leads, setting appointments, and driving sales.

In August 2024, I decided to upskill and invested in a 30-day Apprenticeship Program as a Virtual Assistant to broaden my skill set and prepare myself for future VA roles.

I believe I can contribute a lot to your company because of my experience in sales and virtual assistance. I’ve worked as a Sales Representative, Cold Caller, and Telemarketer, where I helped drive sales, generate leads, and build strong relationships with customers. I’m good at understanding people’s needs and offering them the right solutions. I’ve also trained as a Virtual Assistant, so I can handle administrative tasks like managing emails, calendars, and research, along with creating social media content and basic graphic design.

You should hire me because I’m adaptable, hardworking, and always willing to learn. I bring a combination of sales experience and organisational skills, and I’m dedicated to helping your company succeed. Whether it’s managing daily tasks or helping drive more sales, I’m ready to contribute from day one.

In life, my goals are to keep growing professionally, provide financial support for my family, and maintain a good balance between work and the things I enjoy, like music and spending time in nature.
