Varanpreet Kaur – General Virtual Assistant

Hi, my name is Varanpreet Kaur. You can call me Varan. I am from India. I graduated with a Commerce degree and later did a diploma in business management. I am married and a mom of an 8-year-old boy.

I have 15 years of work experience. My experience comprises virtual assistance, social media assistance, HR assistance, administrative work, customer support, research, and lead generation. I have done on-site jobs for the first six years of my career. I have done administration, recruitment, and customer service in these jobs. In 2014, my son was born and I had to leave my job to look after my son. Even though I was at the best phase as a mother but I didn’t want to stop as a professional. I wanted the best of both worlds.

The idea of remote working struck my mind and I thought this is the best for me where I could stay with my family and grow professionally. I always believe in work-life balance. Remote working allows me to have that cordial balance. I am working remotely for the last few years. My first remote job was with an e-commerce company where I was handling administrative parts and customer support. I worked there for one year and since 2017 I am working as a freelance virtual assistant and providing services to my clients as per their needs. I am handling responsibilities like administration, social media management, making social media calendars, designing creatives, scheduling posts, research, lead generation, etc. I understand the functionality and culture of remote working. Moreover, in past jobs, I have been experienced in handling work with little or no supervision.

Working from home is quite different from working at an office. I love to work in this way as it allows me to be with my dear ones while growing professionally.

My profile is versatile as I worked in different departments like admin, customer service, marketing, etc. So I can bring versatility and remote working experience to the table. I believe in learning new skills. As a professional, I am not just sticking to what I am experienced with, but also willing to learn and explore new skills. While working remotely, I want to enhance my knowledge, learn new skills and grow in my career.
