Queenie Nakanishi – Administrative Assistant, ESL

queenie-gretz-vaHello! I’m Queenie Gretz but you can call me Queenie

I am a college graduate with a degree in Tourism Management. Honestly, when I was in college, I didn’t really understand why I had to take subjects that I already learned in grade school and high school. I felt like I’m wasting my time listening to the same things again and again. I always wanted to become a flight attendant. So after graduation, I joined the short training course in a Flight Attendant Academy. During that time, I learned so much more than when I was in college. I learned to be confident, determined, presentable, responsible, organise and so much more.

I started applying for work a day after I turned 18. I applied to a BPO company and I wasn’t expecting that I will get the job right away. I was in college while I did part-time at night. I really wanted to work already at that time and start earning money. I wanted to be independent and I never wanted to ask my parents for money when I want to buy something because they are paying so much for my education. My first job is basically taking inbound calls from customers about gadgets. I enjoyed it so much at that time. At first, I was very nervous taking calls but when I got used to it, everything became natural to me.

As a Virtual Assistant, my client was very precise about what she wanted and she was very satisfied with all my works. Then I got another 2 clients. I managed my time working with 3 clients. I schedule their meetings and events, editing their documents, posting jobs, do accounting tasks, checking attendance, checking contracts, managing emails, research, and so much more.

With all my working experiences, I learned so many skills. I become attentive, organize, respectful, compassionate, and resilient. I improved my interpersonal skills, writing and communication skills, technical skills, and more. I never want to stop learning and I always believe that there is always room for improvement. Nothing is impossible when you’re driven to reach a certain goal.

I am looking forward to working with you and helping you succeed in your goals and make things easy for you.
