Marra Alfiler – Administrative Assistant

Hi! I’m Marra Kris E. Alfiler from the Philippines. You can call me MK. I am currently a stay at home mom by choice due to this pandemic. Last August 2020, I decided to render my resignation after my maternity leave. I cannot leave my son nor entrust him with anyone. That’s why I am seeking for a work from home job and the best choice is virtual assistant.

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Management in 2010. In the same year, I started my career as Marketing Assistant of one motorcycle company here in our country. This is the start of my Customer Service Career and MS Tools. After a year, I was promoted as Branch Cashier where I handle cash and non cash assets of the company. I was also in charge of daily operation reports, billings and receivables.

After another year I was promoted and transferred to our sister company as Branch Manager located 6 hours away from my hometown. I was in-charge of the daily operations of the branch, handled Sales and Collection Team. Recruit, hire, train and inspire people was added to my responsibilities.

I am blessed that from a messed up branch, we transformed it to a performing branch. I learned that discipline is hard to teach unless it is seen in you. To be a good leader, we need to be a good follower. Different characters for different people is needed in this industry, we need to be flexible.

After 4 years, I applied for a Branch Microfinance Officer position in a Bank in our hometown. In this position, I learned to be detail and result oriented. Working under pressure while pregnant is not that easy but having a team like a family to you makes everything easy. Accuracy and timely of report is strictly observe in this company.

9 years in Customer Service is a happy and challenging experience. But I love dealing with clients. I am highly trainable. I am a self starter, I am a fast learner, self reliant but can work well with a team. I am a hardworking person and very patient. I have a strong personality. I can work under pressure, I can work with different personalities, I love solving problems. I am organize and have critical thinking. I am a risk taker. I believe that the small steps in the right direction can turn out to be the biggest step of my life.
