Charlene Cabatingan – Administrative Assistant, Customer Service
Working in a corporate world was not an easy road. I have been rejected multiple times since I don’t have the confidence and experience that they needed. Finally, I landed my first job as an outbound specialist in an Australian account. It was very challenging at first as you will be working with different lines of business as an appointment setter, doing the SQL, data entry, outbound calls, and many more. I was so blessed to be able to experience different kinds of tasks that help me improve and learn new skills.
I have been with the BPO industry for 5 years now, but when I became a mom, I really wanted to work in the comforts of my home. My first home base career was at GoGoGrandparent. I really enjoyed it a lot because I have a lot of time with my daughter and can do more travel. However, when the pandemic hit the world, the company was greatly affected financially and so I was one of the employees who was laid off.
I did find a way to look for a new job as a virtual assistant with job security. I’ve always dreamed of being a Virtual assistant so I ventured to a different line of work to experience new things.
The last job I had was as a VA in an Insurance company for a year and 3 months. I was so grateful that I was able to experience becoming a virtual assistant and learned different tasks. I am very happy whenever the clients and teammates expressed their gratitude towards your work and appreciate my help to ease their work.
Since I already ended my contract, I was looking for a company that would give me job security. When I research for companies, I found the VAT team to be the best that would allow me to use my expertise and willingness to do the tasks for the clients.
