Rezzel Rosales – Administrative Assistant, Customer Service
Hi, how are you? Hope all is well with you. I am Rezzel Jane Rosales, but you can call me RJ.
I have five years worth of experience working in the customer service industry. I wasn’t an easy route for me. I needed to practice how to answer interviews and how to present present myself so that I will be worthy for the position I am applying for.
My first job was customer service representative for 1800-Flowers.com . It only last for a few months because I was hired for a different account. It was very challenging for me especially the daily commute to and from work.
After a few years working for the same company, I had to resign because I got pregnant with my first child. I was back to no income. It felt suffocating when you are just depending on your partner. I wanted to have my own income so that I can provide my child’s needs. My partner and I soon broke up and I became a single mother.
I applied to new company and worked for a telco account. Telco is confusing for me since we specialize on billing and sales. The tools that we use were very challenging. However! The awesome part is the salary. I can support my child and buy our day-to-day needs.
After some time, I eventually found it tiring and somehow it became boring. I wanted to learn more. I know in my heart this is not my field. (So I decided to quit and explored the virtual assistant world.
My virtual assistant job was an Email Support Specialist for an E-commerce company. We use Zendesk, Shopify, and Dropshipping tools. It was fun since I can stay at home and care for my child. The challenge is still there but it is manageable. In between, you can find more clients and earn more, by doing some data entry, putting images to the amazon, and other things. After 2 years, due to the pandemic, I needed to find another client because the business was not doing well.
I enrolled myself to a Social Media Management course and got some certification. More and more I learn things I didn’t know before. I applied as LINKEDIN CAMPAIGN manager for a b2b account. It didn’t last long though because I was only hired for a 6-months contract.
However I wont stop there, everyday is an opportunity to learn and to continue to be better.
