Glaiza Diana Siron – Project Development Analyst
Hi everyone!
I am Glaiza Diana Siron but you can call me Glaiz or Glaiza whichever your prefer. I am from Pampanga, Philippines. I am a full-time housewife and a mum to two beautiful daughters, and here’s my story.
I am an illegitimate child. My father has five wives and I am the eldest of his fifth wife. Having no father around while growing up made me resilient and independent. When my father died when I was in second year highschool, I lived with his first wife’s family. When I lived with them they supported my studies and they considered me as their own child and a sister. I was in fourth year college when my mum died of cancer. It was very tough for me and especially for my siblings because they were only 9 and 7 years old at the time. But God used my aunts to raise my siblings.
While studying in college, I worked as a part-time encoder and receptionist in a computer shop, learning first-hand how to deal with various customers.
It was May 2005 when I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Major in Business Management from Holy Angel University, Angeles City, Philippines.
In regard to my work experience, I have worked at the Department of Trade and Industry Region III as a Trade and Industry Analyst for 9 years. During my tenure, I served as a Business Name Officer and a Sales Promotion Officer. I was responsible for receiving, processing and releasing of Business Name Certificates and Sales Promotion Permits. I prepared and submitted reports pertaining to Business Name Registration and Sales Promotion. Other than that, I attended to other administrative matters like receiving and filing of documents, preparing travel orders, request for vehicle, vouchers, preparing of presentation materials, letters/invitations and follow-ups with concerned agencies/offices, designing of promo collaterals, answering of phone calls and emails, and booking of hotels and restaurants for meetings.
Aside from working in the government, I worked as a Finance and Administrative Personnel to some small and medium enterprises in Angeles City and City of San Fernando where I handled purchasing, payroll and benefits, recruitment, cash flows, income tax return and coordination.
When it comes to technical skills, I am familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. I also know how to work with Dropbox, Trello, Hootsuite Skype and Zoom and I can do basic graphic design using Canva and Adobe Photoshop. Recently, I was able to successfully finish the Digital Marketing certification course offered by the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
Even though I am new to the freelancing industry I believe that I am equipped with skills and practical experiences I gained from my previous work. I am hard working, dependable, persistent and easy-to-teach person who believes in trust and good working relation.
